ATTACK THE BLOCK [2011]

Creeping & crawling out of South London comes the sci-fi comedy Attack The Block, starring Jodie Whitaker, Luke Treadway & Spaced vet Nick Frost.
Attack doesn't try to break any new sci-fi barriers or even attempt to be the "sci-fi" movie of the year, instead it yanks you by the arms for one helluva ride. Taking the worn out formula of your typical Hollywood story and like what Shaun Of The Dead & Hot Fuzz did, it shakes it up and spills it all over the streets of England to see how it works itself out there.
Some of the humor is badly timed and at times predictable but that's fine as this is the finest motley crew of rejects, losers and thieves I've ever seen battle the aliens. Shut your brain off, sit back with a bag of chips and prepare to laugh & yell at the screen.
