Idiots and Angels (2008)

Bill Plympton's works have always worked better for me in small doses...so this 80 minute feature tends to wear on its audience. Essentially a silent film, and filled with muted colors, it's the story of a man who wakes up one day with stubs growing out of his back. Now imbued with a set of conscious wings and a sense of moral duty, the man struggles to be free of them. That's the impetus behind it all.

Kinda dark and weird, as you would expect.
