House IV is a return to form...although which form, I’m not sure. William Katt is back (briefly) as Roger Cobb, but otherwise does not correlate to the events of the original film. Now we have a house that’s been built upon an old Indian burial ground which holds back the spirits of the dead. A widow inherits the property and is haunted by images of her dead husband and other unexplained phenomena. There’s not too much else new here. One thing that bears mentioning, however, is that all of these movies seem to end on a positive note, which is a pretty rare thing in horror.
