The First Omen (2024)

A legacy prequel that is actually fairly decent in its own right. In 1971, an American novitiate is sent to a Catholic orphanage in Rome where she is plagued by strange visions and evil omens. She soon uncovers a religious conspiracy tying into the harbinger of end times, but you already knew that.
I had an interesting experience with this film which really tied into all the demonic imagery throughout. While it's not the most original take on the genre, it faithfully honors the source material, and it's legitimately dark and scary to boot. It dovetails into the events of the first movie pretty well.
