GONE [2012]

Amanda Seyfried surprisingly carries the weight of a film all on her own, quite well in Heitor Dhalia's 2012 thriller Gone.
Sadly the film itself is a pathetic excuse for a thriller and leads you on a drawn out snoozefest that pulls out all the cliches, while trying too hard to be taken seriously.  It offers nothing new nor does it even attempt to try anything remotely clever with it's silly twists & turns but is simply comfortable relying on Seyfried's name to bring in a few bucks (which apparently didn't work either).

I thought this was a decent rental movie (certainly better than a lot of the trash you find at a Red Box) but beyond that it's nothing to write home about.

I tried looking for any sort of redeeming factor so I wouldn't have to shamefully post another PoS so soon but could find nothing.

Nice backdrop but that's about it.
