.hack//GIFT (2003)

An OVA short that uses impressionist style character designs to parody events from the .hack//SIGN TV series and the .hack//Games.
If you don't already know the history and mannerisms of the characters, you'll not get the jokes and you'll have wasted your time.
Conversely, existing fans will be totally clued-in and should definitely seek it out. It acts as an optional coda and is damn funny in places.
