Bob Marley: Spiritual Journey (2005)

It begins by exploring the social, economic and political situation in the town where Bob grew up, effectively using archive footage of residents telling how Marley gave them hope despite the crushing poverty.
It shifts to gather more modern opinions of people who knew Bob, both intimately and tenuously, and the quality plummets. Hearsay, supposition and glory-hunting guesswork is no substitute for facts. If it had sustained the explorative aspect of the beginning it could've been really good.
