DEAD HOOKER IN A TRUNK [2009]

The feature length debut, Dead Hooker In A Trunk of writer/director duo, The Soska Sisters is slowly becoming a exploitation cult classic.
Immediately grabbing your attention with it's title, you can pretty much predict what you're getting from the very get go: black humour, extreme violence and bad acting & dialogue.  The humour is a bit hit & miss, the logic is spotty at best and it's purpose is next to nothing.  However by it's third act I found I had become quite attached to the characters and the outrageous situations they got themselves in.  It narrowly misses the "so bad it's good" title but in the end won me over.

2½  "X"'s out of 5
