A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors (1987)

Look…all the little piggies come home.”
Definitely the best of the Freddy sequels, with a script co-penned by Craven and Frank Darabont. Heather Langenkamp and John Saxon reprise their characters; Patricia Arquette is introduced as a character with dream powers; Laurence Fishburne plays an orderly (?). Probably the most well-rounded of all the movies, it almost surpasses the original in originality, plus contains the most "satisfying" demise of Freddy (how does he keep coming back?). Freddy’s perverted sense of humor certainly raises him above all the other movie monsters out there; were he not a child murderer, you’d think he’s a pretty cool guy.
