The Night Flier (1997)

A vampire, the real deal, with a red and black cape and pointy collar, travels the skies in a little one-man plane with curtains. When he stops over at airfields people turn up dead. I'm not making this shit up. It’s a film based on a Stephen King story with all the baggage that such an adaptation entails. The ridiculous premise is alluded to and even becomes a beneficial part of the story. I wasn't expecting that; in fact, the whole thing was surprisingly more entertaining than I’d anticipated. The ending was especially good fun.

2½ unfriendly air miles out of 5
