The sequel to a film that needed no sequel is visually impressive by comparison (lighting is better, film stock is better) but after the first act things take a steep curving nosedive and never recover.
The first Cube (1997) had an underlying logic, but this one doesn't care about such things. A dozen scientific principles are thrown into the story in the hope that some of them will work. Some of them do, but the ones that don’t often contradict the principles behind the ones that do. The plot holes become chasms and the ending gets sucked up its own ass pipe.
