King Kong vs. Godzilla (1962)

The most positive thing I can say about the third Godzilla film is that it's the first shot in widescreen and in colour. It’s pretty terrible otherwise.
Fans who only want a monster bash will have to wait an hour before the two creatures meet and when it happens it’s laughable. Kong looks idiotic as he beats his tits and throws rocks. Godzilla waves his arms like a kid in a toy shop getting excited over a clearance sale. I could ignore all of that if the human story was up to scratch, but it isn't.
I've used the English language title but it was the original 97 min Japanese version of the film I watched, NOT the American version that was redubbed and recut with newly-shot footage of a UN reporter inserted.
