A Haunted House 2 (2014)

While the found footage gags are starting to get a little repetitive, this one incorporates parodies from other popular horror films released at the time, such as Annabelle, Sinister, Insidious and The Conjuring. It's very much a product of its time, but it's a time when people didn't take themselves so fucking seriously. This one dials up the stupid, but that doesn't make it any less funny. Completely irreverent and offensive to the max.

Also, probably the first time I realized Jaime Pressly and Missi Pyle weren't the same person.

THE FLUFFY MOVIE: UNITY THROUGH LAUGHTER [2014]

Stand-up comedian Gabriel Iglesias aka Fluffy brings his act to the big screen with the suitably titled The Fluffy Movie.
Being an admirer of his act for over 10 years, I've never seen a complete show and had only been exposed to ten minute sets here and there on television or the YouTubes, so I was a little cautious about a film over 90 minutes long.  I'm happy to see I wasn't the least bit disappointed.  Iglesias' trademark use of funny voices and sound effects are always a plus but never undermine his heartfelt and hilarious storytelling.  He tackles some deeply personal material that I admit touched the heart with a heavy hit but was always quick the have you chuckling again with his quick wit. An engaging stand-up act that's over before you're ready to bid farewell.

MAGIC MIKE [2012]

I'll admit it, I didn't think director Steven Soderbergh's Magic Mike, a dramatic comedy about the life of Florida male strippers, would be the least bit interesting.
To my surprise I found it to be very entertaining and occasionally quite enticing.
Loosely based on actor Channing Tatum's early career as a male stripper, the film delves into areas of the profession I had never thought about before and what it does to both your personality and personal lives.  It's well-written, directed with precision and filled with a slew of strong performances all of which make for some well-placed funny moments that carry some serious weight to it with good reason.
So yes, folks, this isn't just a male stripper film but a story about choice, consequences and the occasional penis pump.
