A friendly real estate agent with a dark secret is reluctantly pulled into a world of murder and intrigue when the past comes catching up with him. This was Ke Huy Quan's first leading man role after winning best supporting actor for Everything Everywhere All at Once, so expectations were sky high, but unfortunately this was a waste of all talents involved. It's a violent action-comedy that ends up feeling like Jackie Chan Lite. I just wasn't feeling it at all.

I would ask when they're going to stop doing this John Wick horseshit, but the answer is obviously, 'when it stops selling.' Was fun to realize that it was Data, at least. Maybe Josh Brolin will resurface someday, too...
Not even John Wick is stopping with their John Wick bullshit. Even after the ending of 4 (no spoilers), they still spun off a TV series called "The Continental," and later this year will be a new spin-off called "Ballerina" starring Ana de Armas. It's a cinematic universe at this point.
Brolin has been in a bunch of things over the years (Thanos, Cable, that one dude in Dune), but it's been awhile since he headlined anything good.
I was deliberately being a bastard =P Everyone associating ...INEVITABLE with Thanos, now, instead of Smith is quite possibly the greatest cultural crime perpetrated in my lifetime. Cable having like 64 powers, in a universe where most have 1 or 2. Now, that's a brooding, Scott-spawned Mary Sue if there ever was one. I've loathed Cable since I was a kid.
Doesn't seem like I've seen any of Brolin's work (in full) outside of Goonies. There were two copies of his Dubya biopic the last time I was at Goodwill. What are the odds?
It's kind of funny that they just announced today that, after 40 years, they're finally going through with a Goonies sequel.
Did you make this happen, Neg?! Did you "Secret" it into existence?
If Josie and the Pussycats in Outer Space happens, that was me. It does give me hope, though. C'mon 25th Ann'y sequel~ Wait, what happened to my 30th Ann'y PCU Blu-ray?
Wait a minute. Are they going to follow the plot of the game? We gonna get a mermaid and Konami man? Sean Astin beating on Joey Pants with a yo-yo?
I gotta do a PCU nut sometime. I have no memory of it whatsoever.
Would be funny if they kept the Goonies II game canon to the series. I get the feeling it's going to be one of those "passing the torch" stories involving their kids. Though I would love it if it were just a bunch of 50-somethings on a pirate adventure.
All I want to know is if Sloth is still alive. (Don't google it.)
We've gotten so old and tame. Back in the day, we'd actively goad one another into searching things XD
PCU is so much more infinitely relevant now than it was when it was released. I heard Jeremy say that he's lost work just because he PORTRAYED a sleazeball hollywood exec. Seriously, people?
I know. Mostly out of practice, I think. But this news was just sad and there's already plenty enough of that to go around.
I think all those Entourage boys got put into a box based on that association. You don't really see them in too much these days. I really hate that people are lumped into either "this" or "that" with no in-between. It's all so extremist.
