Suffering a crisis of faith after the loss of his wife, a man finds comfort in reuniting with his childhood music teacher, while she seeks to have the bat mitzvah she was denied as a child. Both of their families disapprove.
I kind of really didn't like this movie at all. Don't get me wrong; I think Carol Kane and Jason Schwartzman are great, but I didn't buy the Harold and Maude angle in the least, especially because it seemed strangely one-sided and completely out of the blue. Meanwhile, he's got this great girl fawning over him and he rejects her? Does not compute.

The last Harold-and-Maude-type-product I saw, I saw because Billie Joe was in it. He CANNOT act. He disappeared after, I think, two scenes, and I fast-forwarded so much trying to find him, that the credits rolled after what felt like 30 minutes. They put a blurb on the box advertising that a Grammy Award winner was in it! Don't big him up like that, you jackasses =P It was BIZARRE. The kid was quite the edgelord. That's coming from me XD
You sound very Kevin Smith, there, at the end~
I had to look it up to figure out what it was. Turns out he's only been in like two movies. Was it "Like Sunday, Like Rain"? I hadn't heard of it. Looks like he had the leading part in a movie called "Ordinary World" in 2016, so I wonder if his acting improved since then.
That's the one! Ordinary World is the last track on Revolution Radio. You likely know that, though. Makes me wonder how much of a connection there is... Might be worth it. Doc and I have a real soft spot for that album.
They have it, at the library. Gotta happen, right?
In case you're not able to find it at the library, I could hook you up with a digital copy if you're able to play it on your end. I've been slowly corrupting Doc into becoming a cyber criminal like me, too.
I appreciate the thought, but we'll be up that way, soon enough. We know someone who works there. I bet they could tell us how many times it's been checked out. I wager not a lot~
