Those Who Do Not . . .

In September 2020 Blogger forced a complete dashboard overhaul upon all users of its service. As a desktop PC user, the push toward a phone + tablet style interface has greatly soured the joy I'd typically feel at creating posts.

In response, I'm lessening my Blogger activities. Presently, that means no more In a Nutshell for the foreseeable future. (I'm shutting the door, but keeping a light on.) I'm extremely proud of how it's evolved over the years and have really enjoyed the time spent on it, initially with companions and the final few years as a solo reviewer. Often, it helped me achieve peace.

Before I confront the Nutshell-shaped void that will no doubt be felt in my life, I want to sincerely thank everyone who made me laugh and/or took the time to read my ramblings. It was just a blog, but it was more than that, too.

Hey Doc. Long time no Nut. Not sure if you'll ever see this, but just wanted to say hey! This blog brings back a lot of memories. Hope you're still kicking, pal.

Wahey, budarc! There are a LOT of great memories here for me, too. It was a sizeable chunk of my life. But the band broke up and the landscape changed, so I took my battered amps and went solo on a different corner of the internet. I'm definitely still kicking, just less often and on different streets.

I'm really pleased you dropped in. I hope life has been kind to you, and continues to be.

Doc, you're alive! Oh man, life has been garbage! Take me back to the good ol' days of the shoot the shit thread, back when the internet felt less regulated and somehow we were able to get away with the seediest shit. Speaking of which, are you still in touch with cuckoo at all? I tried emailing him at his old address but all points of contact seem to be broken. I'm already at that pensive, nostalgic stage of life where I want to reconnect with old faces from the past, but I fear too much time may have passed already. Anyway, hope you're good, bud, and you've found a corner of the internet that appreciates you and treats you well. If you (or anyone else who may read this in the future) wants to stay in touch, I'm at [my username] at yahoo dot com. I'll catch you on the flippity-flop!
