DoAT was the title of the first book in Weis and Hickman's
Chronicles Trilogy. It had a large cast of characters but each one was unique and over the course of the novel it was possible to really care deeply for each of them. With such a rich source material to draw from, a filmed version could've been great. Unfortunately, the animation is like bad Saturday morning cartoons from the 80s, the voice acting is hollow and ill-fitting, and there’s a complete lack of atmosphere; it's a genuine travesty. It's been five years now since it was made, so I'm guessing we're not getting versions of Book II or III. Given the quality herein, I don't think many
Dragonlance fans will mourn the loss.
