I wasn't really in the mood for this family comedy about a girl with a telepathic ability to talk to plants and make them grow, but it looked festive, so why not?
In a small town that takes their pumpkin-growing competitions too seriously, a young orphan realizes she takes a natural shine to it. It's one of those films in which you already know exactly what's going to happen, so what's the point?

Does Nick often find himself in this manner of nonsense? Guess I'll surf the tag and find out... Of late, is the answer, I guess.
If only the world were just and he could live off of Hot Fuzz forever~
And, World's End never happened.
Sadly, yes. It does seem like his career has hit a stall, working in a lot more low-budget stuff compared to Simon Pegg. He did do that Train Your Dragon remake though, which was high-profile. And he was a voice in a Star Wars thing recently, which is as big as you can go.
This movie features some well-known names in the UK, it’s just your usual children’s tripe.
