Unlike the American shot-by-shot-remake of the first [REC], John Pogue's Quarantine 2: Terminal not only drops the found footage aspect of the series but completely changes the story of the original sequel for the better or worse (depending on how dedicated you are to this crap).
Playing like a regular film now, it is allowed to pack in more thrills and tension and seems more like a poor man's version of the 28 Days Later. It's not as terrible as it could have been but it's not as good as other films in the genre.
