There's a decent number of good character moments herein and a few are sublimely subtle. G4 himself isn't evil, or even remotely loathsome, in my eyes. He simply has a different perspective from our usual trio of heroes. Squall Leonhart’s discourse on the subject instantly springs to mind. If there's anything to complain about, it's that Gills isn't given a worthy opponent. Still, what he does with the one he is pitted against is pretty badass. A great beginning to the yearly summer Rider movies.
This follows the Special, which follows episode 35.
